garlic chopper from temu

Not only does it look neat and cool, but it sounds really useful. No wonder why I ordered the USB Rechargeable Electric Garlic Chopper from TEMU after watching the pictures and watching a video presentation at the TEMU website. I was quick to open the package from TEMU after it arrived, and I was extremely enthusiastic. After spending 10-15 minutes with the devices, my feelings had changes a lot. What was the problem?

First of all, the USB Rechargeable Electric Garlic Chopper has many names. You might find it described somewhere as an electric garlic and onion chopper, other places as a chopper, or then again, as a garlic chopper. It is very important to think about what it is and why you need it before you decide to order the product or not. Why is that?

The USB Rechargeable Electric Garlic Chopper comes in two sizes… 100ml and 250ml.

First of all, the 100ml size is extremely small. Honestly, the 250ml is also incredibly small. Just think about the fact that 250ml is a normal glass of water. If you fill it into the chopper, it will be full. That is small!

Are you cooking for yourself and you want to chop your garlic quickly? This tool will get the job done. Are you working with a maximum of one onion? The 250ml will get the job done. But, if you are planning on cutting larger amount of vegetables or onions, you will quickly get in trouble. And I am afraid that you should order a tool to measure your blood pressure together with the rechargeable garlic chopper, because you might need it. Why?

The chopper is constructed in a stupid way. You have the cup in which you chop things in the bottom. Then you have the blade used for cutting, and then you have the rest of the machine with the engine. These three parts are separate parts and to get the job done, you need to place them together like three pieces of LEGO. There is only a slight problem.

  1. It is tempting to add the vegetables, onion, garlic, or whatever into the cup first. But, if you do that, then you are unable to connect the cutting blade to the middle of the bottom of the cup, because all the vegetables are in the way.
  2. As a result, you add the cutting blade first. Now you have trouble adding vegetables to the cup, because the cutting blades are in the way.
  3. Now you need to cut whatever you want to chop into much smaller pieces so that you can add them to the cut with the chopping blade in, because that is the only way for this to work.

By now your blood pressure is higher than it should be. Then you start to cut. Depending on what you are interested in, you might be happy with the result, or you might feel otherwise. It does a good job in cutting, but with the lower cutting blade so low in the cup, it really chops everything and makes it feel like a stew/soup in the bottom, and not nicely cut pieces of vegetables. This might be useful if you want that stew/soup feeling, but if you just want nicely cut paprika or cucumber in very small pieces, you will not be happy with the result.

The fact that it is rechargeable via USB is practical, meaning you can bring it along as you go camping, and it can help you as you want to cut things quickly. But, then again, it is complicated because it only works with small amount of food, and you will most likely find it to be more work than joy.

Rechargeable Garlic Chopper from TEMU review: What is the conclusion?

I have removed this from my kitchen. In the future, I will rather cut the garlic, onion, paprika, or whatever into smaller pieces myself than to use this tool which is just annoying. The idea is good, but in action, it doesn’t work even close to what I expected.

I would not waste my money on this device, and I would not want to pollute unnecessarily by ordering this and making planes travel to and from China because I ordered it. Of course, I ordered it (and I regret doing so), but at least I am sharing my experience here to help you out, so that you might not do the same mistake.

Have you tested the device yourself? What is your experience? Do you have any further comments or questions? Write a comment below.

I am incredibly curious and I love to test news products. Unfortunately, I easily order too much from TEMU, and often end up buying a lot of products that I don't like and regret buying. But, I also buy lots of products that I fall in love with. Here I am trying to share my experiences with you before you shop, so that you can buy useful stuff and skip the junk-products. It that way you can save money, and we can also take better care of the environment together!
